Defendant, James Mills, was charged by bill of information with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62.2. Defendant pled not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. He waived his right to a trial by jury and was convicted as charged after a bench trial.
