This case presents a claim that defense counsel was ineffective because he did not properly advise his client on the consequences of a guilty plea. On July 12, 1985 defendant Chung moved before the trial judge to withdraw a guilty plea to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, on the basis that he had not been properly advised by trial counsel that a probable consequence of his August 30, 1982 guilty...
