A jury found the defendant guilty of manslaughter in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-55 (a) (1) and a sentence of ten to twenty years was imposed. The court, O'Donnell, J., denied the defendant's motions for acquittal and for a new trial, and this appeal followed.
