On January 23, 1984, defendant entered a conditional guilty plea to a charge of larceny in a building, MCL 750.360; MSA 28.592. It was understood that by entering the plea defendant would not waive his right to assert as error on appeal the denial of his motion to suppress evidence which was based on an alleged illegal search and seizure.
