Plaintiff Raleigh Wilbur Hartman and defendant Elsie H. Hartman were married on 28 June 1947. Two children, Sue Ann and Raleigh Wilbur Hartman, Jr. ("Buddy"), were born of this marriage. On 22 January 1982, the parties separated. At the time of the parties' separation both the parties' children were emancipated.
