This is a suit for damages in tort by guest passengers in an automobile that was struck head-on by another vehicle. Made defendants were the driver of the other vehicle, the Parish of East Baton Rouge (Parish) and the Parish's insurer. The driver of the other vehicle did not answer or make an appearance, and the guest passengers entered a preliminary judgment by default against him.
