Victor Guirlando was indicted by the East Feliciana Parish Grand Jury for possession of contraband at a State correctional institute in violation of La.R.S. 14:402. He was tried before a jury, which returned the responsive verdict of guilty of attempted possession of contraband, in violation of La.R.S. 14:27 and 402.
