On August 18, 1980, plaintiff Kaminski was hired as a driver for United Parcel Service (UPS) and was subsequently elevated to the position of supervisor of operations for the UPS downtown Manhattan branch, where he also substituted for absent drivers. Plaintiff's employment was for an indefinite period of time and he had no formal written contract. His personnel file included the information that he had previously been employed...
