Plaintiff's decedent, Gary Kreski, was fatally injured in the course of his employment as a Livonia firefighter when the roof and ceiling of a building owned by defendant Edwin Weinstein and occupied by defendant Modern Wholesale Electric Supply Co., collapsed on him without warning. On April 25, 1983, plaintiff filed a wrongful death action against Weinstein and Modern in Wayne Circuit Court. Those defendants moved for summary judgment, but that motion...
