The defendant, Alvin T. Cobb, was convicted on two indictments charging armed robbery. The Appeals Court reversed the convictions and ordered a new trial, 19 Mass.App.Ct. 1111 (1985). We allowed the Commonwealth's application for further appellate review. We also reverse.
