The defendant appeals from his conviction, after a jury trial, of one count of robbery in the third degree, a violation of General Statutes § 53a-136. The defendant claims that the court erred (1) in instructing the jury on robbery in the third degree as a lesser included offense of robbery in the first degree, a violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (3), and (2) in denying the defendant's three motions for a judgment of acquittal.
