LIACOS, J.

Sharon L. Hilton was tried before a jury of six on a complaint that she had operated an automobile on a public way while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.1 Hilton moved, at the close of the Commonwealth's case, for a required finding of not guilty. Mass. R. Crim. P. 25 (a), 378 Mass. 896 (1979). The judge denied her motion. The jury returned a verdict of guilty.
