We note at the outset of our discussion that defendant has abandoned Assignments of Error Nos. 1, 4, 7, and 8 by failing to advance any argument in his brief to support them. N.C.R.App.P. 28(a). On the basis of his six remaining assignments of error, defendant contends that the trial court erred by denying his motions to dismiss for insufficient evidence the charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and of felonious possession of stolen property...
