This action was brought by appellee, Linda K. Smith, to recover workmen's compensation benefits from the appellant, Hastings Irrigation Pipe Co. (Hastings Pipe). Smith was injured while working for Hastings Pipe on October 10, 1983, and filed a petition with the Nebraska Workmen's Compensation Court on July 12, 1984.
