The Board of County Commissioners of Sedgwick County appeals from an order of the Shawnee County District Court which overturned a decision of the Board of Tax Appeals (BOTA) denying a property tax exemption under K.S.A. 79-201k to aircraft owned by the Cessna Employees' Flying Club (Cessna). BOTA had considered the aircraft exempt from taxation prior to 1984.
