Plaintiffs appeal as of right from a trial court order granting defendants' motion for summary judgment.

In 1976, Shell Oil Company, with the cooperation of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, created two eighty-acre drilling units within the Village of Kalkaska. The drilling units are located within three recorded plats. Streets within the plats are designated for public use.
