After a 3½-month jury trial and 6½ days' deliberation, the defendant was convicted of conspiracy, insurance fraud, grand larceny, offering false instruments for filing, bribing a witness, criminal solicitation, and violating Judiciary Law § 482 (prohibiting attorneys from employing lay persons to solicit or procure legal business).
