After a jury trial the defendant, Larry McIntosh, was found guilty of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a and committed to the custody of the commissioner of correction for a term of forty years. The indictment charged that he had caused the death of Kim Rascoe by blows to the head with a hammer.
