This case involves whether a tax foreclosure sale conducted by the Thurston County Treasurer extinguishes restrictive covenants which limit the manner in which a property owner in a planned unit development may use his or her land. The trial court and the Court of Appeals held that the restrictive covenants were not extinguished by the tax sale. Olympia v. Palzer, 42 Wn.App. 751
