Defendant was convicted following a jury trial on August 22, 1978 of delivery of heroin, contrary to MCL 335.341(1)(a); MSA 18.1070(41)(1)(a).1 On August 13, 1984, defendant was sentenced to a prison term of four to twenty years and received credit for 113 days of local confinement.
