Defendant, James W. McCrimmon, was found guilty in a jury trial of two counts of gambling (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 28-1(a)(3)), keeping a gambling place (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 28-3), and three counts of unlawful use of weapons by felons (Ill. Rev. Stat., 1984 Supp., ch. 38, par. 24-1.1(a)).
