OVERVIEW

Appellants George Alexopulos, a severely retarded adult, and his mother, Marguerite Alexopulos, appeal an adverse judgment of the district court denying their claims under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The trial court held that George's exclusion from public education until 1973 did not constitute a denial of his rights to equal protection and due process under the Fourteenth Amendment, and that the Education for All Handicapped Children...
