A prisoner sentenced to life imprisonment by a Texas state court as a multiple offender seeks to attack the validity of one of the earlier convictions on which his sentence was based and the voluntariness of his plea at the later trial that the earlier conviction was "true." We hold that the prisoner's plea of "true" to the charge that he had been duly and legally convicted, if voluntarily and knowingly entered, forecloses his attack...
