Defendants appeal plaintiff's worker's compensation award. Plaintiff was injured from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face. Defendants contend that the injury did not arise out of the scope of employment because (1) the gun was not required by plaintiff's employment as an officer of the liquor business; (2) when the gun went off plaintiff was not doing anything related to his employment; and (3) even if plaintiff had been...
