The plaintiffs, Native American inmates in the Nebraska penal system, requested a trial on their motion to show cause why defendant Gary Grammer should not be punished for contempt. They allege that Grammer, Warden of the Nebraska State Penitentiary, has failed to comply with the portion of the 1974 order of this court concerning the exercise of Native American religious beliefs by inmates, and thus is in contempt...
