The Missouri Motor Vehicle Franchise Practices Act (Franchise Act), Mo.Rev.Stat. §§ 407.810-.835 (V.A.M.S.Supp.1986), bars a franchisor from nonrenewal of a new motor vehicle franchise unless the franchisee is in "substantial default" of "reasonable and lawful obligations" to the franchisor.
