Sentenced to death by a jury for the murders of Newton and Earline Brown on Christmas Day, 1982, Jimmy L. Glass petitions for a writ of habeas corpus, 28 U.S.C. § 2254. The district court denied the petition and refused to issue a certificate of probable cause, which Glass now seeks from this court, 28 U.S.C. § 2253.
