By indictment handed down May 2, 1985, Lavell R. Johnson was charged with armed bank robbery (18 U.S.C. § 2113(a) and (d)) and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence (18 U.S.C. § 924(c)). He pleaded guilty on September 3, 1985. On October 17, 1985, Johnson was adjudged guilty and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment on the bank robbery charge and 5 years imprisonment on the weapons charge, the two sentences...
