In this action, the named plaintiffs and the class of similarly situated women that they represent challenge certain parts of the tests used by the City of Columbus to select entry-level firefighters since 1979. Plaintiffs Ann Brunet, Lynn Shearrow, Rebecca Schumacher and Edwina Hornung took the tests administered in 1980 and 1984. None of the plaintiffs was selected as a firefighter.
