We granted certiorari to review Bartley v. Floyd, 695 P.2d 781 (Colo.App.1984), which held that furnishing liquor to a minor in violation of section 12-47-128(1)(a), 5 C.R.S. (1985), constitutes negligence per se. The two petitions that are before us for certiorari review have been consolidated, and both are addressed in this opinion.
