This case comes to us on appeal following defendant Richard J. Carmel's ("defendant's") conviction for mail and wire fraud. Defendant raises several contentions concerning compulsive gambling as a basis for an insanity defense for non-gambling offenses and the propriety of his sentence. For the reasons set forth below, we reject defendant's contentions and affirm his conviction.
