These consolidated admiralty cases arise out of a collision between an Argentine dry bulk carrier, the M/V SANTA CRUZ II (SANTA CRUZ), owned by the defendant, Empresa Lineas Maritimas Argentinas, S.A., (ELMA) and the United States Coast Guard Cutter CUYAHOGA (CUYAHOGA), on October 20, 1978 in the lower Chesapeake Bay off the coast of Baltimore, Maryland.
