Appellant Hunt, acting as receiver of Life Insurance Company of America (LICA), brought claims under RICO, 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961 to 1968, Securities Exchange Act § 10(b), 15 U.S.C. § 78j(b), SEC rule 10b-5 and state common law against defendants for allegedly engaging in fraudulent transactions that depleted LICA's assets.
