The defendant, Scott Allen Thorne, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966. On October 30, 1985 Judge Lloyd G. Teekell heard a motion to suppress evidence (the marijuana) and all inculpatory statements made incident to his arrest and detention. The trial court denied the motion.
