The issue in this case is whether the lessors of immovable property, upon abandonment of the property by the lessees during the term of the lease, are entitled to occupy the premises for their own business purposes for the remainder of the term and also to collect from the lessees the contractual rent for the same period. We conclude that the lessors are not entitled to recover rent from the lessees after the date the lessors occupied the premises...
