PATTERSON, Judge.

Appellant, Mark Monroe Geeslin, was convicted of kidnapping in the first degree and rape in the first degree. See § 13A-6-43 and § 13A-6-61, Code of Alabama (1975). The trial court imposed a sentence of life imprisonment in the state penitentiary for each offense, to run consecutively.
