PECK, Justice.

Defendant appeals his conviction for simple assault following a trial by jury in the district court. We affirm.

On January 1, 1981, defendant, armed with a borrowed handgun, went to the home of his girlfriend, Holly Campbell. Defendant was upset because she had refused to see him; he feared their relationship was ending. Defendant found only Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, her parents, and her younger sister...
