The plaintiff, Berry, brought an action for negligence in the small claims court of Geneva County, seeking from the defendant, Monaghan, damages in the amount of $350. Monaghan answered and filed a counterclaim seeking damages. The small claims court entered judgment against Monaghan on the counterclaim and for Berry on his claim in the amount of $372.
