On August 9, 1985, Karen Vix Ellis filed a petition for separation from bed and board against her husband, Everett J. Ellis, III. Following the hearing, judgment was rendered in favor of Mrs. Ellis, awarding her occupancy of the family domicile, sole custody of the children, alimony pendente lite in the sum of $300.00 per month and child support payments of $700.00 per month.
