Plaintiff Bessie Snelling initiated this action seeking damages for the alleged wrongful death of her husband Walter Snelling. Walter Snelling was an 81-year-old inpatient at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital. He died from injuries he suffered in a fire that started while he was smoking in his hospital bed.
