This is a suit by an attorney against his former client's estate for expenses incurred during the time of representation for litigation for which he was retained as counsel. Plaintiff, R.C. Edwins, represented Clarence Richard, a Jones Act seaman. Following settlement of the case, Edwins sued defendants, Succession of Clarence Richard, et al, seeking recovery of expenses, costs, and advances.
