This case stems from the loss of a cargo of steel pipe, plate and beams in the Gulf of Mexico. Following a liability trial, judgment was entered in favor of the cargo owners against the stevedore that loaded the cargo aboard a barge, the tug that towed the barge, and the tug's owner. In a flurry of appeals and cross-appeals, almost all parties express some dissatisfaction...
