Defendant, Gerald J. Williams, was charged by bill of information with armed robbery, in violation of La.R.S. 14:64. On June 10, 1985, a twelve-person jury found him guilty as charged. He was sentenced to serve ninety-nine (99) years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
