In these combined appeals, the defendants appeal from the judgments of conviction. Both defendants were convicted of attempted sexual assault in the first degree, in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-49 (a) and 53a-70 (a), and robbery in the first degree, in violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (3). The defendant Thomas Farrar was also convicted of carrying a dangerous weapon, in violation of General Statutes § 53-206 (a)....
