NEWBERN, Justice.

The appellants were convicted of rape of Theresa Baraque. Their convictions were reversed, and they were tried a second time. In the second trial the doctor who examined Theresa, and who testified in the first trial, Lackey v. State, 283 Ark. 150, 671 S.W.2d 757, 759 (1984), did not testify. His testimony was read from the transcript of the first trial over the appellants...
