DOMENGEAUX, Judge.

Defendant, Wilfred James Freeman, was charged by grand jury indictment with second degree murder, in violation of La.R.S. 14:30.1. On the defendant's motion, a sanity hearing was ordered to determine whether the defendant was competent to stand trial. The court ruled that the defendant had the mental capacity to understand the proceedings against him and to assist in his defense. The twelve person jury ultimately found the defendant guilty
