The defendants, Anthony Barnes and Wayne Crandle, were charged by bill of information with theft of property valued at greater than $500.00 and with simple criminal damage to property, violations of LSA-R.S. 14:671 and 14:562 respectively. After a jury found both defendants guilty as charged, defendant Barnes was sentenced to five years at hard labor on each count to be served concurrently...
