Candy Peoples was indicted in the October term, 1984 session of the grand jury of Rankin County, Mississippi. The indictment charged that on the 18th of July, 1984, Mrs. Peoples did willfully, unlawfully, feloniously and without lawful authority inveigle and kidnap John Paul Peoples, her husband, with the intent to cause him to be secretely confined or imprisoned against his will, in violation of § 97-3-53 of the Mississippi...
