This is an appeal from a superior court order terminating the parental rights of a biological father (S.J.) on public policy grounds, specifically that the child (S.J., Jr.) had been conceived during an "illegal relationship." S.J. was convicted in an unrelated criminal proceeding of first degree sexual assault against L.T., the mother of the child.
