Appellant Dewayne Jones was convicted by a jury of voluntary manslaughter. The jury assessed punishment at ten years' confinement, but recommended five years' probation. The trial court suspended imposition of sentence and placed Jones on probation for five years. As a condition of probation, the court ordered Jones to make restitution of $5,062.02, representing the total expenses incurred as a result of Jones' shooting the victim with a gun...
